Diageo has announced that Guinness ad Bushmills will be commercial sponsors of the British & Irish Lions Tour of South Africa in 2009.
Guinness will be the official beer of the 10-match rugby tour and Bushmills the official spirit.
"A British & Irish Lions rugby tour is always a hugely popular and well-watched sporting occasion in the UK and Ireland," said Guinness sponsorship manager Lee Bailey.
"It offers Guinness and Bushmills a fantastic opportunity to build excitement around the games and enhance fan involvement as much as possible.
"Lions fans have a history of being tremendous supporters and this tour promises to be no different.
"Guinness has had a long association with rugby at both an international and club level. The alignment has great synergy with both brands which each already have strong rugby credentials."
