The Campaign for Real Ale's (CAMRA) National Winter Ales Festival will feature over 200 beers this year and takes place on 20 January.

The trade session will feature a range of beers including old ales and barley wines, to porters, stouts and strong milds.

Beers will be available from other countries such as Denmark, Germany, Holland, France and the Czech Republic.

The festival judges will be comprised of beer writers, journalists, members of the licensed trade, and CAMRA members.

'Everything is in place for the opening of the Festival, and after the recent bout of bad weather, we hope people step in from the cold and sample one of our 200 different winter warmers," said festival organiser Graham Donning.

The defending champion, Oakham Brewery's Attila, won the competition last year.
