Codorníu offers new variety

Grupo Codorníu's Argentinian winery is launching a Sauvignon Blanc into the UK market.
The 2009 Sauvignon Blanc is a first for Bodega Septima and the launch follows the introduction of Septima Rosé in 2009. Both are rare wines for Argentina — Sauvignon Blanc accounts for only 5% of the country's overall varietal plantings.
Septima's latest offering, which is made from grapes sourced from the cooler climate region of Agrelo in Mendoza, aims to capitalise on the UK consumers' growing thirst for Sauvignon Blanc.
The wine is a blend of grapes picked at three different times during harvest in order to capture different varietal characteristics.
Septima's wines are distributed in the UK by Codorníu UK.
