Pro-pub MP Greg Mulholland is "deeply disappointed" after the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) turned down his offer to meet.
The OFT wrote to Mulholland declining the opportunity to discuss the conclusion of their investigation into the Pubco model on the grounds that legal proceedings are underway.
Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Save the Pub Group Mulholland had requested a meeting following an earlier offer of discussion from the OFT.
"I am deeply disappointed that the OFT have refused to meet with us to discuss the issues surrounding their investigation whilst legal proceedings are ongoing," said Mulholland.
"It feels a lot like they are hiding behind the legal proceedings rather than admitting they made a mistake and working with concerned groups to put it right".
