Heineken UK has confirmed that it will be sponsoring the Licensed Trade Charity's Annual Boxing Fundraiser for the twelfth consecutive year.

This year's event which sees a host of amateur bouts take place in the presence of trade guests will be held at the Brewery on Chiswell Street London on November 16, 2010.

During the last 12 years, Heineken (formerly Scottish & Newcastle UK) has helped to raise more than £200,000 to support the charity's work through their sponsorship of this event.

Earl Baker, National Account Manager, Heineken UK, said: "We acknowledge the great work of the Licensed Trade Charity supporting those who work in the industry who have fallen on hard times and this event is one way of showing this.

"We urge other brewers and pub companies to buy a table and support the event, and the charity, in this way."
