Marston's Pub Company has begun its search for its top performing licensees.
The best pubs in the company's 1,700-strong estate will be examined during a four-month judging process to find Marston's Pub of the Year.
The awards focus on seven categories — cask ale, food, entrepreneurial, outside trading area, community pub, newcomer and the coveted Pub of the Year award.
A national winner in each category will be selected from four regional finalists.
"Our licensees are the heart and soul of this company and it is only right that we reward our top retailers and let them know their efforts are appreciated," said retail solutions manager Pete Lyne.
"We have some real quality pubs, so the judging will be tough particularly for the overall Pub of the Year award."
Winners will be announced at an awards lunch in November.
