Brakspear is running a trial gastropub menu for dogs at two of its venues that are popular with walkers and their four-legged friends.
The company has joined forces with pet food brand Butcher's to offer free doggie meals to pub customers over the trial period of a month.
If successful commercial director Tom Davies confirmed he would consider rolling it out to other pubs across the estate.
"Many of our pubs are located near popular walking routes and attract customers out to enjoy the countryside with their dogs," Davies said.
"For many dog-owners being able to source a meal in the pub for their pet as well as for themselves will be an attractive option. We're pleased to be offering the new Butcher's meals, which we hope will be a further boost to the dog friendly reputation of our pubs."
There is a choice of six meals, three from the Butchers Meaty Feasts range and three from its Special Fayre selection.
Butcher's brand manager Caroline Coombs said the company was considering expanding distribution through the pub channel if the trial proved successful.
"We are really interested in seeing how this idea appeals to dog owners and what the level of take-up will be," she said.
