Wadworth is to introduce its first loyalty scheme and is rolling out a new pumpclip design to help boost sales of Wadworth 6X.
Under the reward scheme each firkin of 6X will come with a pump clip sticker that can be peeled off and stuck to a reward card. Points can then be redeemed for items ranging from 6X merchandise to weekend breaks and brewery courses. These can be used to motivate or reward staff or as consumer competition prizes, said sales and marketing director Paul Sullivan.
A new-look pumpclip is also being rolled out to 6X stockists this month. The new design makes more of the brand name and has tasting notes running around the edge which the brewer hopes will tempt new drinkers to sample the beer. "6X is steeped in history and therefore it has to be a careful balance to move with the times but not to forget the heritage it has," said Sullivan. "We believe we've achieved this aim with the new pumpclip."
