Tennent's Lager has extended its credit period for four weeks to help Scottish pubs recover from the recent bout of cold weather.

The C&C Group owned lager, said it hoped the move would help the pub trade at a "particularly tough" time.

The offer applies to all of its direct Scottish free-trade customers.

"Our market-leading position enables us to help the majority of our direct free trade customers in this way," said Mike Lees, managing director of Tennent's Lager.

"It is our way of showing our appreciation and support for the free pub trade in Scotland in return for the ongoing support they give to Tennent's."
