The company behind Peroni and Pilsner Urquell in the UK has teamed-up with the charity WaterAid.
Miller Brands has partnered with WaterAid for 2011 following a poll among company employees.
And on top of raising funds for the charity - which provides safe water and sanitation to the world's poorest people - the company is also giving business advice.
In a recent session WaterAid employees were given tips on how to better understand customer needs, communication and evaluation methods.
Jonathan Bennett, head of corporate affairs at Miller Brands, said: "We are sharing our skills and resource with an organisation whose skills and actions make a difference to thousands of communities across the world.
"By its nature, brewing is a water-intensive process and we recognise that it is a precious commodity. Making more beer but using less water is one of our three global focus areas for sustainable development."
WaterAid works in a number of the countries in which the parent company of Miller Brands, SABMiller operates.
SABMiller has set itself the target of reducing water use per litre of beer by 25 per cent by 2015 - saving around 20 billion litres of water.
The Publican has also linked up with WaterAid and is urging pubs to sign up to the Tap into WaterAid initiative where customers are encouraged to make a donation to the charity whenever they order tap water.
