Punch Taverns has sent a guide to reducing red tape to help all its 5,800 strong leased estate.

Punch has sent a guide to reducing red tape to all its 5,800 strong leased estate.

The "Safe, legal and compliant" manual contains key information on a wide range of issues including licensing, health and safety, fire safety, and responsible retailing.

The manual contains advice on various topics under headings such as "How does this affect me?" and "Top tips".

In addition, there are operational booklets, easy-to-tailor policies, guidance on risk assessments and CDs that allow licensees to print multiple copies of the key documents.

David Daniel, Punch's head of estates risk, said: "We recognise the increasing legislative and bureaucratic pressures placed on our partners and wanted to create a support tool that would simplify things by bringing it all together in one place."

Daniel said the pubco's risk and compliance teams would provide extra help and advice, if required.

He added; "We hope to see it (the manual) setting a benchmark for good practice across the industry."
