Marston's head of customer support Peter Lyne has left the business after a 20-year career with the regional brewer and retailer.

Lyne most recently spent 11 months in charge of customer support and had previous stints as head of retail solutions for two years and also spent two years as a general manager overseeing 356 pubs.

His most recent job involved developing a tenant recruitment strategy, which also involved creating an "industry-leading ethos to applicant care" by creating a "cradle-to-grave care policy" as a benchmark.

Lyne also spear-headed Marston's support for National Pub Week when it was launched in 2009.

Last year, the event won a mention in the House of Commons and Prime Minister David Cameron visited his local pub as part of the event.
