The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) is holding a charity motor bike ride to raise funds for the Licensed Trade Charity.

The ride is in honour of Alec Roud, a former BII re-gional chairman who passed away earlier this year.

The BII's decision to host another charity event comes after last year's success in raising £2,500 for the LTC's Licensed Victuallers' Schools.

The ride will be on Friday 22 July, with the bikers leaving from Hook Norton Brewery in Banbury, Oxfordshire at around 10am and finishing at the Fuller's brewery in Chiswick, London.

"We are looking at maybe having a brewery tour and beer tasting at Hook Norton on the night of Thursday 21 July for anyone who wishes to stay over," explained a BII spokeswoman.

She added: "We did this last year and unfortunately the numbers were not so great, so are putting the word out earlier for more people to sign up. I'm hoping for about 20-30 people."

Contact Margaret Berrido at the BII on 01276 417814 or send znetnerg@ovv.bet an email for a sponsorship form.
