Town and City Pub Company's Yates's in Halifax has won Pub of the Year in the pubco's annual awards.
Town and City said the award was based on numerous achievements including sales and profit growth and mystery customer service scores. The pub, managed by Martin Norris, also came out top for the most number of days of sales growth throughout the year.
Yates's Bolton was named Drink Pub of the Year, and the Langthorne in Stratford, London, was awarded Food Pub of the Year. Slug and Lettuce in Canary Wharf was titled Customer Service Pub of the Year. Town and City said the pub had an average 99.3% mystery customer record over 12 months.
Litten Tree in Stafford was named Business Turnaround of the Year, and Slug@Wimbledon won Development of the Year.
Town and City CEO Toby Smith said: "Massive congratulations to all the winners this year. They have consistently delivered great customer service, as well as fresh and engaging entertainment which has resulted in a superb sales performance.
