WKD is to bring its trademark cheeky humour to darts as part of a sponsorship deal with the Professional Darts Corporation.

The RTD and cider range will be the official drink for three key tournaments this year: World Matchplay in July, the Grand Slam of Darts in November and the World Darts Championships in December.

Spectators will be able to sample WKD at the events and WKD logos will appear on players' shirts and branding around the venues.

Advertising will bring the typical WKD humour to proceedings with darts related themes such as "One hundred and tasty cider" and "WKD — as tasty as a nine dart finish."

At the same time the brand will run competitions offering drinkers the chance to win darts-related prizes.
