Two former managed pub company executives have taken on their fourth Scottish & Newcastle Pub Company (S&NPC) site.

Couch & Hall Pub Company is run by Steve Hall, formerly of Spirit, and Roland Couch, who worked for Allied Domecq around a decade ago.

The company, founded in 2009, has just taken on the Red Lion in Shepperton, Surrey. It already runs the White Horse, Sundridge, Kent, the Whyte Harte, Bletchingley, Surrey — a former Massive Pub Company site — and the Crown Inn in East Burnham, Buckinghamshire.

All four sites were acquired for a nil premium. The company is understood to be in negotiation to take on a fifth site — an Enterprise Inns venue.

Hall said: "The model definitely works — all our sites are former Scottish & Newcastle Retail sites sold around five years ago."
