Former Farlane pubs sold at auction
Seven out of eight closed freehold pubs formerly owned by Farlane Property Group, which was placed into administration in 2010, have been sold at auction.

The pubs were sold for prices ranging between £35,000 and £95,000. Farlane Property Group owned 43 pubs when it was placed in administration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

■ The Golden Fleece in Calderbridge, Cumbria, sold for £95,000. It had a guide price of £25,000 to £35,000.

■ The Pemberton Arms in Cold Hesledon, County Durham, sold for £76,000. It had a guide price of £45,000 to £55,000.

■ The Ballarat in North Shields, Tyne and Wear, sold for £46,000. It had a guide price of £20,000 to £30,000.

■ The Crown Hotel in Bury, Lancashire, sold for £66,000. It had a guide price of £35,000 to £45,000.

■ The Commercial in Millbrook, Greater Manchester, sold for £40,000. It had a guide price of £30,000 to £40,000.

■ The Copperfield in Birkenhead, Merseyside, sold for £35,000. It had a guide price of £20,000 to £30,000.

■ The Castle in Distington, Cumbria, sold for £72,000. It had a guide price of £25,000 to £35,000.

■ The White Swan in Ince, Lancashire, is still available for £45,000.

Other freehold pubs that sold at the auction included the Crown Inn in Bingham, Nottinghamshire, which sold for £710,000. It had a guide price of £650,000 to £700,000. The Everest Hotel, Eastway in Liverpool, Merseyside, sold for £900,000. It had a guide price of £775,000 to £825,000. These are let to JD Wetherspoon.

An unnamed cocktail bar in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, sold for £635,000. It had a guide price of £575,000 to £600,000. The Green Dragon in Essex sold for £640,000. It had a guide price of £600,000 to £650,000. These are let to private tenants.

The Steamboat Inn in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire, was withdrawn from the auction. It was offered on behalf of the liquidators of the Waterside Pub Partnership, PwC.
