Stafford pub gets new staff as two MPs serve behind the bar
The Mill at Worston, in Great Bridgeford near Stafford, had a guest barman when it was visited by Andrew Griffiths MP, the chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group.

Griffiths, the MP for Burton and Uttoxeter, was joined by Jeremy Lefroy, MP for Stafford, and together they pulled pints of cask ale for the regulars of the pub at the end of July.

Griffiths said: “The Parliamentary Beer group exists to promote and support the brewing and pub industry, and as chairman I was delighted to join Neil and the team to celebrate their third anniversary.  The Mill is a perfect example of what makes a fantastic British pub - a combination of well kept real ale, fantastic food and a warm welcome."

Griffiths launched the ‘MPs in Pubs’ campaign last year, which is supported by the Publican’s Morning Advertiser. So far over 80 MPs have got behind the bar. The campaign is aimed at giving licensees the chance to raise trade issues with their local politicians and at the same time let them experience the industry.
