Alcoholic ginger beer Crabbie’s is to get its “biggest ever” marketing spend for Christmas this December, including sponsorship of ITV, ITV2 and STV.

The deal will be supported with a three week advertising campaign in November, featuring the brand’s characters, retro couple George and Camilla, as well as print and radio ads.

“The run up to the festive season is always an exciting time and this year, with our sponsorship of Christmas on ITV and our biggest ever Christmas campaign, is no exception,” said Crabbie’s Marketing Controller Al Cross at brand owner Halewood International.

The company is also investing in more online activity, focussing on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram to boost brand awareness, said Cross.
