A modest 1,734 people applied for the most recent vacancy for the global brewer which gives the successful candidate the chance to follow the UEFA Champions league trophy around the world, meeting some top football stars along the way.
A shortlist of interviewees is compiled and Heineken invites these young hopefuls to Amsterdam to see what they are really made of – while secretly filming the process.
The result is ‘The Candidate’ – a behind-the-scenes video demonstrating the resourcefulness of young job-seekers as they are forced to respond to extraordinary circumstances - holding the bosses hand, reviving him as he ‘blacks-out’ during the interview and finally – helping to rescue a stranded Heineken employee from the roof after a ‘fire-alert’. How they responded determined who had the skills needed to work in the Heineken marketing department.
