Three pub chefs compete in BBC's Great British Menu

Emily Watkins, co-owner of the Kingham Plough in Oxfordshire; Dominic Chapman, executive chef of the Royal Oak at Paley Street, Berkshire; and Josh Eggleton, chef proprietor of the Pony & Trap in Chew Magna, Bristol will compete against each other. The brief this year is to create a menu to honour the men and women involved in the D-Day landings ar a banquet to be held at St Paul’s Cathedral.
The series starts on Monday 7 April on BBC2 at 7.30pm while the south-west heat to determine which pub chef will represent that region in the finals.
The three will cook each of their best courses in a four-course banquet to be hosted at each of their venues. The dinner will include coffee and petit fours at £100 per head. Eggleton will cook on Tuesday 29 April, Watkins on Wednesday 30 April and Chapman on Wednesday 7 May.
