The pub company said there were more than 3,250 visitors, including nearly 300 prospective publicans, at the six ‘Enterpriselive’ roadshows, which began in March and were staged at Olympia, London; the NEC, Birmingham; Bolton Arena; Elland Road, Leeds; Sandown Park and UWE Exhibition Centre, Bristol.
More than 130 suppliers across the beer, wine, cider, spirit, soft drinks, food and snack categories were showcased during the events, while Enterprise offered retail advice to publicans on the topics of gaming, social media, pub entertainment and accountancy.
Enterprise head of marketing James Armitage said: “We were encouraged by the response and will be looking to build on this in the future by attracting even more of our publicans to the event.
“As well as showcasing supplier offers, Enterpriselive also gave us an opportunity to highlight how as a company we support our publicans through a range of services including business planning, property and marketing.”
Guests from the world of sport and television also appeared at the roadshows, including Martin “Wolfie” Adams, the three-time BDO World Darts Champion and England darts team captain; England women’s football international Karen Carney; and Mark “The Beast” Labett , star of ITV’s “The Chase”.
