North Bar saw trade boom during the Tour de France
North Bar is celebrating victory in the Tour de France, with company sales rising 61% as a result of the cycling extravaganza.

The group celebrated the start of the Tour by extending opening hours at its five leaseholds and one freehold pub around Leeds on Saturday 5 July.

All North Bar venues opened at 8am to serve a Grand Départ breakfast, helping to cater for the many thousands of spectators lining the route.

It was marketed on social media, in North Bar’s newsletters and in-house blackboards, while all venues were decorated inside and out. Televisions were brought in to show Tour de France highlights.

The result was a hike in company sales of 61%. North Bar Social in Otley, on the race route, saw sales increase by 107% compared with the same week last year and achieved record sales for a single day.
