London brewery Fuller’s has purchased a field of strawberries in Hampshire.

Fuller’s came to a financial agreement with the New Forest Fruit Company to purchase the field near Lymington and supply fresh strawberries to its managed estates.

The brewery has been delivering punnets of strawberries to its sites up to three times a week for customers to enjoy in puddings and drinks as part of its ‘Summer Served Here’ campaign.

Head of food at Fuller’s Inns Paul Dickinson said: “I am always searching for the finest British ingredients from the very best local suppliers. I am delighted that we have been able to work with Sandy Booth and John Boyd at the New Forest Fruit Company in the supply of our strawberries for our customers.”

There is potential for Fuller’s to purchase further produce, including different fruit, out of next year’s harvest.
