Two pubs triumph in Good Food Guide 2015 Editor’s Awards

The Good Food Guide, now in its 64th year, is the UK’s longest running restaurant guide and the Editor’s Awards are aimed at recognising excellence across the restaurant and pub industry and are decided by the Good Food Guide team.
The Broad Chare is part of 21 Hospitality Group which is owned by chef/restaurateur Terry Laybourne and includes sites Café 21 and Café 21 at Fenwick, both in central Newcastle and Bistro 21 in Durham.
Among other winners was the Sun Inn in Dedham, Essex, owned by Piers Baker, which picked up the Editor’s Award for Wine List of the Year.
The Freemasons at Wiswell in Lancashire, run by Steven Smith, was announced last week as the guide's Pub of the Year Award winner. This award was voted for by the guide's readers.
New pub entries in the 2015 guide include the Bricklayers Arms in Flaunden, Hertfordshire; the Fritton Arms in Fritton, Norfolk; the Swan in Stratford St Mary, Suffolk; the Duck Inn, Stanhoe, Norfolk; the Packhorse Inn, Moulton, Suffolk; the Truscott Arms in Maida Vale, north London; Smokehouse in Islington, north London; the Broadfield Ale House in Sheffield, Yorkshire; the Full Moon Inn, Morton, Nottinghamshire and the Queens Head in Kirby La Thorpe, Lincolnshire.
Jonray and Peter Sanchez-Iglesias of Casamia, Bristol took the crown of Chefs of the Year.
