Moy Park Foodservice is offering a £21,000 prize to the pub chef that can create the best bar snack using its chicken products.

The SnaX Factor campaign calls on pub chefs to get creative with their snack menus and put the profit making potential of Moy Park products at the heart of their offering.

Five finalists will be chosen to face a public vote to determine the recipient of a £1,000 cash prize and £20,000 worth of free product.

To participate, pubs need to send Moy Park a picture of their creation to www.moyparkfoodservice.com/snax-factor​.

Deadline for competition entries is midnight on 31 October.

Standout snack

Frannie Santos-Mawdsley, senior customer marketing manager for foodservice at Moy Park, said pub chefs should design a “standout snack menu”, while demonstrating creativity, and an understanding of the versatility of chicken, as well as the number of profit opportunities that are opened up because of this.

“Whether it’s just adding salad and premium dips, creating mini chicken sliders, or putting it pride of place in a sharing platter, imagination is everything – that’s what gives you the SnaX Factor,” she explained.

“Once the final five pubs are chosen, they can take advantage of our free downloadable PoS kits – available on our website – to help drum up support and really drive the local vote.

“The rest is up to them. We can’t wait to see what they come up with.”
