Greene King's Flame Grill among finalists for National Fish & Chip Awards

Greene King pubs’ Flame Grill is one of five finalists in with a chance to top the Best Multiple Foodservice Operator category at Seafish’s National Fish & Chip Awards.

Winners will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday 20 January, during an awards ceremony held at the Lancaster Hotel, London.

Each of the five potential victors underwent a final round of “in-restaurant” judging by an industry expert in preparation for the ceremony.

Other titles up for grabs include independent takeaway fish & chip shop of the Year, Independent fish & chip restaurant of the year, best seasonal fish & chip operator, best multiple fish & chip operator, best newcomer, best independent foodservice operator, Drywite young fish fryer of the year and quality award champion.

Awards will also be bestowed for contributions to staff training, development and communities as well as the “from field to fryer” award, the Good Catch sustainable seafood award and the marketing innovations award.
