The Seafood Pub Company has confirmed its seventh pub site in West Lancashire to reopen at Easter following refurbishment.

The company has acquired the Town Green Inn in Aughton, Ormskirk from Punch Taverns. It will re re-branded the Town Green Brasserie.

As revealed in the Publican's Morning Advertiser's sister title M&C Report in October, the company has secured the site for a wine bar in Aughton as part of plans to grow the company to 20 sites.

Last year the Seafood Pub Company acquired and refurbished the Derby Arms in Thornley, Longridge and the Barley Mow in Barley, Pendle.

The Brasserie will feature an extensive range of wines, cocktails, spirits and real ales and a food menu developed by the group’s executive chef.

'Perfect opportunity'

Seafood Pub Company managing director Joycelyn Neve said: “The acquisition of the Town Green Inn offered us the perfect opportunity to expand into West Lancashire.”

“We’re proud of the reputation we have for delivering great food, great service and great surroundings. Opening the Barley Mow last year allowed us to launch our Pub Co brand and this is where the Town Green will fit in well.”

Christie + Co advised on the deal.
