Budding barbecue buffs have been invited to devise and submit a three course menu for a chance to be one of eight chefs to compete in a live cook-off final on Wednesday 20 May at the Mentmore Golf & Country Club in Buckinghamshire.
Ray Hall, managing director of event sponsor RH Hall, said: "Since we first launched the BBQ Battle of Britain four years ago the event has grown and grown, attracting top and inspiring chefs from around the country to enter.
"The standards have continued to surpass our expectations and the dishes that have been devised and created really do put BBQ cooking onto a new level."
The winner will be rewarded with a Sharp commercian microwave, a Simply Stainless professional chef’s table, a Smeg designer and stand mixer, 10 bottles of Lion sauces and exclusive British BBQ Battle Chef’s whites.
To be eligible, entrants must ensure their menu takes no more than one hour to prepare and cook on a barbeque and incorporates at least one of sponsor Lion’s sauces.
Operators who want to enter the competition can submit their menu with a brief description of each course at www.britishbbqbattle.co.uk.
Entries close Wednesday 1 April.
