Judges for the gala dinner included James Tanner and Rob Kennedy of the Craft Guild of Chefs.
Kennedy, who has been an integral part of the competition for several years, said: “Competitions such as Toque d’Or are exceptionally important for adding value to our young chefs’ skills and cooking knowledge. They also offer the added benefit of helping to create an excitement around working in the industry; to have the passion and be inspired by a professional kitchen and what the journey ahead might mean.
"Regardless of who is crowned Toque d’Or champions 2015 the students are all winners for the sheer work they have put in to getting themselves and their colleges into the finals. The tremendous dedication each team showed is inspirational even to seasoned chefs and it was – as ever – an absolute pleasure to be part of the programme once again.”
