The Stonegate chain’s menu now features a range of flatbread tostadas with a variety of toppings such as black ham, tomato and mozzarella, Lebanese chicken marinated in yoghurt, garlic lemon juice and herbs and pulled pork in sticky Tabasco sauce.
The brand has introduced two new salads, chicken and mango salad and smoked haddock fishcake salad, both served with Japanese edamame beans and pomegranate.
The 70-site chain has also introduced a new burger, the “’ole burger”, a beef patty topped with roasted pepper, grilled chorizo and Manchego cheese sauce, with plans to introduce another new burger in its place every month for the next six months.
Customers are being asked to rate each burger as the offer rotates, with the highest rated burger eventually claiming a permanent place on the Slug & Lettuce’s menu.
Stonegate Pubs was given a highly commended rating in this year’s Publican Awards for its “common room” concept.
