JJ Food Service has launched smaller pack sizes for its fresh lamb and chicken lines, aimed at supporting smaller caterers.

Ali Guvemli, chief products officer at JJ Food Service, said: “Our fresh lamb is free-range and has been produced from prime, fully-traceable, farm-assured animals.

“The range has been extremely popular with restaurants and hotels, but not everyone has the fridge space for large quantities.”

The supplier’s Welsh and Dorset lamb neck fillets are now available in 2x2.5kg packs alongside fresh chicken, which now comes in in 2.5kg packs and lamb shoulder, which is soon to be available in 2x2kg packs.

Pasta sauce

Continental Quattro Stagioni has released a new range of Teresa Lambarelli’s pasta sauces to UK foodservice.

The new range consists of four different variants, Napoletana, Arrabiata, The Godfather – a spicy sauce with chillies, black olives, oregano, garlic and basil – and the In Campagna – with green olives, sundried tomatoes, oregano, garlic and fresh basil.

Sandro Bevilacqua, vice chairman of Continental Quattro Stagioni, said: “These sauces are truly authentic, based on recipes handed down from generation to generation.

“Anyone looking to create a real taste of Italy with their pasta dishes will really enjoy [them].”

The sauces are available in cases of 6x350g, with prices starting at £16.80.
