Chancellor announces compulsory living wage for ALL businesses
Chancellor George Osbourne has announced that 'Britain needs a pay rise' and revealed a new national living wage of £9 by 2020 for people aged over 25.

The new living wage will be compulsory and is a dramatic increase on the current living wage, which is £6.50 an hour.

Osborne predicts the new rate will cost 1% of corporate profits.

Some pubs are already committed to paying the current living wage, with Brewdog and Faucet Inns leading the charge.
