The latest edition of Sawday’s Special Places: Pubs & Inns will hit bookshelves on August 3, featuring a comprehensive guide to over 1,000 of the country’s pubs as well as the winners of Sawday’s Pub Awards 2015/16.

15 pubs were chosen which Sawday's' inspectors said stood out in five specific categories; Local, Seasonal and Authentic Produce, Authentic Pub, Community Pub, Favourite Newcomers and Pubs With Rooms.

Toby Sawday, managing director of Sawday’s, said: “The pub world is changing at breakneck speed. Amidst the mire of lattes, chrome and ‘me too’ interiors there are bastions of special and we’ve found them – a diverse and innovative bunch.

“Competition for our annual awards has never been fiercer. These 15 winners really embody the Sawday’s spirit, demonstrating creativity and courage in a swift-changing and challenging industry.”
