SHS Drinks launches low calorie Bottlegreen tonic
SHS Drinks has launched a new low calorie tonic water for its Bottlegreen brand to "meet the needs of consumers who are conscious of their calorie intake."

The tonic, named Bottlegreen Naturally Light Indian Tonic Mixer, contains 31 calories per 175ml bottle and is the fourth tonic within the Bottlegreen range joining Classic Indian Tonic Water, Pomegranate and Elderflower.

The low calorie variant has been made using cold filtration wine making techniques, Cotswold spring water and are purported to have "interesting, delicate citrus and herbal notes derived from Italian bitters," which make the tonic "the perfect partner for any fine gin or vodka and is also super on its own as a soft drink," said the company.

Simon Speers, managing director of Bottlegreen Drinks, said: “Consumers are trading up and the rationale for developing Bottlegreen Naturally Light Tonic Water is to provide consumers with more choice by providing a Bottlegreen tonic water in a lower calorie formulation."

The low calorie tonics are being rolled out into the on-trade and foodservice sectors this summer.
