The event, hosted by Guardian food critic Joe Warwick, will see shortlisted chefs put to the test to determine which one can produce the best Scotch egg, judged by a panel of experts following a blind tasting.
Each finalist in attendance will be given 15 minutes to produce their scotch egg into either of two categories – traditional or unconventional.
Traditional entries must include a whole egg wrapped in minced meat and coated in breadcrumbs, whilst unconventional entries can – as long as they contain an egg - be created in any way, using whatever ingredients the chef chooses.
Michael Harrison of the Cornwall Project claimed victory last year with his hog pudding and Cornish Scotch egg.
Entries close Thursday, 10th September. To request an application form, email Pnabaohel@lbhatf.pb.hx
