Tetley Tea has launched a new range of enveloped tea bags, which is exclusive to foodservice operators and will be available from November this year.
The new range was developed following in-depth market analysis, which showed more than 40 million consumers drank tea out-of-home each day, Tetley said.
Growth in out-of-home tea consumption was attributed to a rise in interest in green, fruit & herbal and speciality tea purchases.
In response to the findings, the tea maker has developed 10 enveloped teas to help operators maximise their tea menus by offering consumers a wider selection of blends, it added.
Isabelle Haynes, senior brand manager – out-of-home – Tetley, said: “We are delighted to unveil our new envelope range, available exclusively within the foodservice sector.
“Hot drink consumers have a higher than average demand for quality products and the introduction of this range will not only satisfy this need, but the desire from operators to provide a premium tea offering from the nation’s most-trusted tea brand.”
The new range includes Earl Grey, English breakfast, decaffeinated, green tea, lemon and ginger, camomile and other flavours.
