Late Night Awards announced: Ministry of Sound wins Icon

Ministry of Sound was recognised with an Icon award at this year’s 2015 Late Night Awards.

The Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers honoured the best in the sector at London’s Cafe de Paris last night (27 October), and the nightclub and entertainment business was awarded to mark its 25th​ anniversary.

Other award winners included Late Night Food - Blues Kitchen, Late Night Drinks – New Inventive Bar Company, Marketing and Promotion – Intertain, Service and Team Development – Beds and Bars, Late Night Entertainment – The Deltic Group and Late Night Venue – The Forge (Novus Leisure).

ALMR Chief Executive Kate Nicholls paid tribute to  dynamism and hard work of the sector at the awards, and emphasised that the night-time economy was vital to UK, to the health of local town centres and to the safe social life of the its customers.

She highlighted the changes the sector had undergone over the past decade and the continued relevance of a sector worth supporting.
