Morgan won the title with the Foxes on Monday after Tottenham blew a 2-0 lead against London rivals Chelsea, and the defender hit Leicester’s town centre for a well-earned drink.
Not needing to worry about picking up any points against Everton this weekend, the Leicester legend bought more than 50 shots, setting him back an estimated £140 to blow off some steam after a remarkable season.
Staff at the JDW chain the High Cross told the PMA there was a great atmosphere at the pub as Morgan shared shots with customers.
“Everyone was really happy, he was nice,” a worker said.
The Sun published a picture of Morgan knocking back a Jagerbomb, with the bar covered in shots bought for the rest of the pub.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “Wes Morgan is a top footballer and obviously has good taste when it comes to visiting pubs.
“We are delighted that he chose to visit The High Cross to celebrate winning the Premier League.”
And Morgan was in high spirits on Tuesday as Leicester were guaranteed the title.
Morgan is also the star of a limited edition rum bottle – Captain Morgan’s.
The bottle sees the famous buccaneer on the label replaced with an image of the Leicester star, who is dressed as Captain Morgan in royal blue and white robes to match Leicester City’s home kit.
The bottle also features Morgan’s signature and an updated medallion with 2016 inscribed to mark his title victory as captain.
Rhys Love, senior brand manager of Captain Morgan, said: “Captains lead by example and we are thrilled to have one of the greatest captains of recent times, Wes Morgan who coincidentally shares our name, become the centre of a historic sporting moment.
“We have created a one-off commemorative Captain Wes Morgan bottle to celebrate his incredible title win triumph as the club’s skipper. We salute Leicester City and their own Captain Morgan.”
