PMA500 Soho: study tours revealed

Having heard from Inception Group co-founder Charlie Gilkes earlier in the day, delegates will have a chance to see the group’s popular bar 1940’s themed bar Cahoots in action. Housed in an abandoned tube station, the venue promises ‘scoundrels, high spirits and swing.’

Chinese gastropub Duck and Rice is one of the latest ventures from Wagamamma founder Alan Yau. Downstairs is a traditional pub complete with copper tanks dispensing unpasteurised Pilsner Urquell while upstairs is home to a 70 cover dining room serving re-interpreted Chinese classics.

Bounce brings together ping pong and an extensive ‘Gin Palace’ inspired cocktail menu. Ping-pong fans have a choice of 17 bespoke tables to play on and can fill up on traditional Italian pizzas in between games.

Founder of British street food Richard Johnson will be leading delegates on a tour of one of the capitals largest and best street-food markets, Dinerama. Johnson will be speaking about the latest trends in street-food, where the market’s going next and how operators can tap in to the street-food boom. Founded by Jonathan Downey, Dinerama has transformed a previously unloved corner of East London into a 1,000 capacity venue hosting vendors including Smokestak, BBQ Lab and You Doughnut.
