PMA licensee poll: Brexit or Bremain?
How will you vote in the forthcoming European Union referendum?
The biggest democratic decision in a generation takes place on 23 June to decide whether the UK should execute a ‘Brexit’ and leave the EU.
Many licensees will be wondering whether an ‘in’ or ‘out’ vote will be good for the trade.
Will you be voting from a personal standpoint or for what’s best for your business? Many small and medium-sized firms, including pubs, would welcome a cut in red tape and what they see as petty regulations originating from Europe.
There have been some outspoken views from senior figures in the trade, such as Wetherspoon’s boss Tim Martin, who is campaigning ferociously for a Brexit.
Others, including City Pub Co chairman Clive Watson, claim the trade would suffer because of the impact on staffing and potential upward effect on food and drink prices.
So would Britain be better off in or out?
If you work in the pub trade then answer our simple question below. All answers are anonymous. The results will be published in 23 June issue of the PMA.
