Diners Jake Hall, 23, and his fiancée Becky Dostal, popped into the Mitchells & Butlers brand’s Cheltenham site for dinner but, instead of a proper menu, found an A4 piece of paper with a list of unavailable dishes scrawled on it.
Hall tweeted: “Disgraceful… if I wanted chicken I would’ve gone to Nando's! The menu would have been bare if they wrote it out.”
He went on to tell Metro the couple had enjoyed the food but were thoroughly disappointed at the lack of options.
A spokesperson for Harvester told Gloucestershire Live: “We had a busy weekend at the start of the school holidays and unfortunately ran out of some of our most popular dishes on the menu.
“To be helpful, a well-intentioned team member made a list of unavailable items to assist guests when ordering. We have now restocked and can only apologise for any inconvenience.”
