Making waves in the City is tough, since there’s so much competition.

But by telling stories through the cocktails served in the old and gob-smacking Bank of New Zealand building, The Trading House is packed out in the day times and evenings with City workers.

The imagination behind each of the cocktails served in the site is phenomenal, with popular themes including Alice Through the Looking Glass and the spice trade.
Innovative drinks include craft beer and spirits cocktails, which allow customers to top up their glasses with hoppy ales as they drink.

Menus are laid out to showcase the popular serves, as well as highlighting key spirits. Pubco New World Trading Company has also gone to great lengths to include gins from each of the towns and cities where its other sites are based.

Being located in the City often means you’re short on custom over the weekends, so staff at the site are currently working on a series of events to bring in business over the quieter days.

Events, which focus heavily on spirits, could include spirit and cocktail masterclasses and other events where customers can get more involved in the art of spirits and cocktails.
