The operator filmed a scene at the Red Lion in Martlesham, Woodbridge, which appeared to show staff and customers imitating dummies and freezing for the camera while festive-themed music played in the background.
Diners wearing Christmas hats, a waitress serving lunch, bartenders midway through pouring drinks and selfie-taking women were among those captured in the YouTube clip, before 'thawing out' and returning to their everyday business.
Promoting the pub
The footage concluded with the message ‘Time Well Spent’.
Greene King communications director Greg Sage said: “We’re always looking for ways to promote the great British pub and the latest craze of the mannequin challenge is a great way to do it.
“As we are now getting prepared for Christmas, we wanted to remind everyone one of the best places to celebrate the festive season is down the pub.”
