Everards Brewery

Everards operates 175 pubs across the East Midlands, all of which are run as independent tenanted businesses. Having previously had success in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2013, the Leicester-based operator will have high hopes of more success at the 2017 awards. More recently, Everards has gained praise for its Project William scheme where the company buys a run-down or closed pub, refurbishes it and rents it to a smaller brewery, which allows the tenant or brewer to serve ales of their choice - as long as one Everards ale is stocked.

Hook Norton Brewery Company

This year has seen Hook Norton undergo expansion, with the Cotswolds operator's first Oxford site - the Castle Tavern - opening in December. Among the operator's 37-strong estate is a pub in Edgehill Castle, Oxfordshire that has two AA rosettes and a selection of traditional market town pubs. 'Hooky', as the company is affectionately known, will be hoping to round off a great 2016 by winning the tenanted/leased award in March at Battersea Evolution, London.
