The Saracens Head, Bath, Somerset
Believed to be the oldest pub in Bath, the Saracens Head has changed ownership for £2.9m in a sale handled by Coffer Corporate Leisure.
The Broad Street pub is subject to a long lease through Greene King and the pub's current general manager, Tim Ward, has confirmed that it will remain "business as usual".
"The property itself has changed hands for quite a substantial fee but, other than that, it's business as usual," Ward said.
Coffer Corporate Leisure associate director Jack Silvani added: “There is huge demand for defensible, secure, income-producing assets at present. This pub has traded successfully for more than 300 years – no other commercial property types can offer this level of continuity. We anticipate investor appetite for pubs of this calibre will continue to increase, particularly from institutional investors who are attracted by the liquidity of the assets."
