Award-winning Seafood Pub Company has announced it is to open a second Yorkshire site as part of its expansion plans.

The site, in Addingham village, West Yorkshire, will open early May following a £1.2m redevelopment programme.

The award-winning group currently has 10 sites across Lancashire and bought its first Yorkshire site earlier this year (February), the Red Lion in Harrogate, which is expected to open this summer.

Plans for the future

The new sites, which will take the group’s total number of pubs to 12, are part of a continued growth strategy, which is expected to deliver more acquisitions over the next year.

Seafood Pub Company executive chef Antony Shirley outlined how the food side of the business will operate at the new site.

He said: “We are all really excited and cannot wait to open.

“We have got a fantastic brigade of chefs who will work with the locals to create menus, which include all of their favourites and, of course, our signature seafood specials.”

A warm welcome from locals

Seafood Pub Company managing director Joycelyn Neve lauded the company’s second acquisition this year.

She said: “We are proud to be able to add another fantastic venue to our Seafood Pub Company family.

“We have had a really warm welcome from all the locals and look forward to serving our award-winning food to the people of Addingham and the neighbouring area.”

Since its inception in 2010, Seafood Pub Company has grown significantly with a turnover of more than £11m.
