Previously known as Next Door, the pub on Odiham High Street has reopened under the title the Red Lion; the pub’s original name from 300 years ago.

The heart of the bar was retained as part of the refit, with a large open-plan bar being put in place. Seven bedrooms will open later in May.

The food offer has been revamped to focus on pub staples, such as fish and chips and slow-cooked lamb shoulder.

Managing director of Red Mist Leisure Mark Robson said: “We’re really excited to have opened our eighth site. I am sure the pub’s manager and her team will do an amazing job establishing the Red Lion within the community.”
