The Akeman, Tring, Hertfordshire
Following the acquisition of the neighbouring building, work has begun on a £600,000 project to extend and refurbish Oakman Inns' flagship site, The Akeman, Tring.
The site, which is run by Peter Borg-Neal's son Eamonn, was the very first Oakman Inn and celebrates its 10th anniversary in December.
On completion of this project, Oakman Inns will have refurbished all of their first five sites over a period of two years – the Akeman; the Old Post Office in Wallingford, Oxfordshire; the Red Lion in Water End, Hertfordshire; the Kings Arms in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire; and the Blue Boar in Witney, Oxfordshire.
