Ever thought about how great it would be to get paid to sit around and drink beer?

Meantime Brewing Company is on the look out for a part-time employee to take on the role of a professional ‘beer taster’.

The brewery, based in Greenwich, London, is advertising for a “passionate beer lover” to sample their brews for three hours a week, and will pay a successful candidate a competitive salary along with undisclosed “beer benefits”.

'Honest and objective feedback'

Advertising the position on jobs website LinkedIn, Meantime said it was looking for someone to “provide honest and objective feedback on different beer styles”.

A successful candidate will have “a passion for beer and taste buds that match,” be “versed in the terminology and vocabulary of beer” as well having an understanding of global consumer markets.

Beer tasting round

To apply for the position, candidates must write a 30-word post on LinkedIn accompanied by the hashtag #pickmemeantime. Meantime will then review the applications and shortlist three candidates, who will go head to head in a beer-tasting round to determine who wins the coveted role.

If you know your stouts from your saisons and your citra from your cascade, then this might just be the perfect job for you.
